About FROGG

FROGG addresses ongoing environmental problems of the Gowanus Canal and its surrounding sewer shed, which impacts the air, the land and the water of our community.

FROGG was a very vocal supporter of the Environmental Protection Agency's Superfund designation of the Gowanus Canal, and was a founding member of the Gowanus Superfund Community Advisory Group (CAG)  after its designation in 2010. We remain active in the CAG to this day. 

The organization also acknowledges the importance and contribution of Gowanus and its uplands as one of this country’s first industrial areas.
